Coaching
"To succeed in life, you need two things: ignorance and confidence."
- Mark Twain
Ignorance might sound very negative but there are only two alternatives:
1. Only do stuff you already know, and learn nothing.
2. Wait to learn something before you do it, and waste time and miss opportunities.
Walking home from work together with a colleague we had a conversation...
He: What is my purpose at work?
Me: You do all kinds of important things, and you coach me.
He: Most of it is just common sense, and besides you don't need coaching, you are doing fine!
It wasn't until later that I realized how masterful that was, and that I'm obviously ignorant enough.
